Blogging for Professional Development

One way an educational leader could use a blog is to create an online professional learning community with staff. You might do a book study for professional development with your staff and use the blog to facilitate discussion of the book and implementation of key ideas. This way everyone is able to read and discuss the book on their own time.

  1. Creating an online professional learning community with staff is an awesome idea. Good way for colleagues to communicate and share ideas: lesson plans, worksheets, games, photos, etc.

  2. I am trying to get my staff on board now. At least in my P.E. department. Blogging is something we can always check back on to see if people have commented or given suggestions. Im liking the new technology!
